Agnieszka Radwanska, Poland’s number one tennis hope, was once more thwarted at the quarter final stage of Wimbledon by her nemesis, Venus Williams.

The number eleven seed was blown off the court 6-1, 6-2 in an imperious display of power tennis by the three time champion. ‘She was playing very well from the beginning’, said a battered Radwanska after the match. ‘Actually, first set I couldn’t do anything. In the second set I had a couple of chances but didn’t use them. If she plays like this, she’ll make it one more time in this tournament’.
