PO founder quits

One of the founding members of the ruling coalition party Civic Platform (PO) has quit.
In a letter to the Prime Minister and leader of PO, Donald Tusk, Andrzej Olechowski announced his resignation Thursday afternoon, citing lack of strategy within the party among his reasons.
In his letter, he identified four areas of discontent which he said made his future membership of the party untenable.
“The policies of PO,” the letter read, “are no longer the policies I established when I helped set up the party; the polices that do exist now are incoherent; PO has become part of the establishment and is no longer looking to change things for the better; I can no longer see any way in ...
